Yesterday, I accidentally flooded the kitchen—a hose under the sink burst, and water seeped under the linoleum. Now I’m worried that the flooring will start to rise or that there will be a musty smell. I don’t know if it’s enough to just dry it with a hair dryer or if I need to do something more serious. Maybe someone has experience in dealing with this without spending a lot of money?

I had a similar situation last summer. At first, it seemed that everything had dried out, but a week later, mold appeared under the baseboards. I recommend not delaying and checking out the recommendations at https://qualityrestoration.com/
      — it describes in detail how to properly dry the floor, check the moisture level, and avoid mold. I used the advice myself, and the result is excellent, with no recurring problems.
