Hello everyone! I am thinking about buying a new Ethernet cable for my home. I have an old CAT5e, but the Internet has become unstable, and with devices like smart TV, where a stable connection is needed, this is a real problem. I read that for 2025 it is better to choose something newer, like CAT6 or even CAT7. On the other hand, for normal home use they seem to be excessive. Honestly, I am confused: how to choose? Does it make sense to overpay for more expensive options if I mainly use the Internet for movies, music and working with documents? And how to choose a good cable brand in general – what should I look for, besides the price?
