We are seriously considering ditching our gym memberships and installing a 14-foot swim spa on our patio. It sounds amazing for year-round fitness, but my neighbor keeps warning me about the energy costs in winter. He claims his bill jumped $200 a month! For those who have one in a colder climate (we are in Ohio), is it actually affordable to run, or are these things just giant money pits?
