I know exactly what you mean. When everything sits in your pocket, it’s super easy to open the app “just for a minute.” I tried using one through https://krikyatop.com/app and the convenience was great — quick access, smoother interface, no constant re-login. But the downside for me was that I started checking it way more often without thinking. Eventually I set up small limits for myself and turned off all notifications. That helped a lot. I don’t think the apps are bad on their own, but they definitely require a bit of discipline.
