I was adopted in the early 90s, and my wife just gifted me a DNA testing kit for my birthday to help me find my biological parents. I’m excited but also a bit terrified about data privacy. Has anyone here actually connected with long-lost family members through these background search databases, and is the emotional toll worth it?
